Following the recent earthquake in Kunar province, many families were left injured and in urgent need of medical and financial support.

In response to this humanitarian crisis, the Society of Afghan Women Engineers (SAWE) organized an emergency relief initiative to assist affected individuals. As part of this effort, a SAWE colleague traveled directly to Jalalabad Hospital, where victims of the earthquake were receiving treatment.

During the visit, direct financial assistance was provided to injured women, men, and children, helping families cover immediate needs during their recovery. This on-the-ground support ensured that aid reached those most impacted by the disaster in a timely and dignified manner.

This initiative was made possible through the generosity and solidarity of Afghan women living in Germany, whose contributions enabled SAWE to respond quickly during this critical time.

The Kunar earthquake response reflects the power of unity and compassion, especially when communities come together across borders to support one another in moments of hardship.

During the holy month of Ramadan, the Society of Afghan Women Engineers (SAWE) successfully implemented a humanitarian support initiative aimed at assisting vulnerable women and children in Afghanistan.

This initiative was made possible through the generosity and solidarity of Afghan youth living in Hamburg, with special appreciation to Young Muslims United at Ayasofya Mosque (Wilhelmsburg), whose contributions enabled the distribution of financial assistance to families in need.

The program reflected the strong spirit of unity within the Afghan diaspora, demonstrating that compassion, responsibility, and community support transcend borders. Through this collective effort, SAWE was able to provide timely assistance and bring relief during a period of spiritual reflection and giving.
